It is beauty oil widely used. It is known for its hydrating and fortifying action for dry, devitalized, split ends or very brittle hair. It promotes the growth of hair, eyelashes and eyebrows and protects nails. Useful against skin ulcerations and black spots. The active component of castor oil ricinoleic acid is known to be an inhibitor of growth of microbes giving castor oil purifying virtues.
